Padel courts arrive, and the old tennis club takes notice

Three padel courts opened in Faisalabad this year, and all three now have waiting lists for evening slots.

Players like that the game is easy to start and is usually played in fours, which makes it social. A court can be booked by the hour, and rackets are available to rent.

At the old tennis club across town, coaches said a few members had tried padel and come back. The bigger worry, one said, is that young players may never try tennis at all.

The club is now planning a free open day with short games for beginners.
