A family trip to the hills with small children

Travelling with a three-year-old and a seven-year-old changes everything. We stopped trying to see a lot and started trying to stay calm.

We never drove more than four hours in a day, booked rooms with a lawn or courtyard, and kept one easy walk for each afternoon.
