A public library stays open late for exam season
Reading rooms will stay open until 10 pm for six weeks. Students queued before the doors opened on day one.

The central public library in Lahore will keep its reading rooms open until 10 pm for the next six weeks, as board and university exams approach.
On the first evening, a line of students had formed at the gate before 4 pm. Library staff said every seat in the main hall was taken within twenty minutes.
“At home there are six of us in two rooms. Here I can actually finish a chapter.”
How to get in after 6 pm
Extra fans and a second water cooler have been added to the upper hall. Students need a library card or their college card to enter after 6 pm.
The library said it would decide in December whether late hours could become permanent.
